FAQs
Residential pickup questions.
Pickup day and time depends on your area's route. Once you're a Wasteparker customer, your confirmed collection day is communicated directly, and we're building account access to show your truck's live ETA.
Wheel your bin to the street and place it kerbside by 6 a.m. on your collection day. Don't overload it — the lid must close completely, and garbage left beside the bin may not be collected.
Everyday household waste: diapers, disposable razors, cat litter, glassware and ceramics, hoses and wire, non-fluorescent light bulbs, sheet glass, foam packaging, and treated wood can all go in your curbside bin.
Hazardous household waste should never go in your bin: batteries, electronics, fluorescent bulbs, paint and paint cans, used motor oil and filters, and prescription medications. Contact us for the nearest drop-off point for these items.
Clean, dry bottles and cans, paper, and cardboard are recyclable. Keep recycling separate from your regular garbage bin.
Plastic bags (return these to a grocery store instead), ceramic dishes and glassware, juice boxes and pouches, foam cups or packing material, and windows or mirrors do not belong in curbside recycling.
Contact us by phone or through the form on this site and we'll arrange a repair or replacement.
Bulky item pickups are available on request — terms and fees may apply. Bulky items include appliances, TVs, furniture, scrap metal, up to 4 tyres separated from rims, and bundled yard trimmings.
Yes — regular pickup days can shift around public holidays. We'll give advance notice of any schedule changes so you know exactly when to expect your truck.
First check you have the right day — holidays occasionally shift the schedule. If your pickup was genuinely missed, contact us with your address and collection day and we'll follow up. Keep waste sealed in the meantime to avoid pests.
